Kylann Scheidt
SCHEIDT PASSES UP BASKETBALL TO START CAREER AT UT
Farragut High School's Kylann Scheidt, a senior who transferred from Nebraska two years ago, is the PrepXtra Player of the Year for the second time and will continue her career at the University of Tennessee.
Farragut High School senior Kylann Scheidt prefers to look ahead, not back.
Four K2 Players Selected All-KIL First Team
Congratulations go out to four K2 Volleyball players that were selected for All-KIL First Team honors. Kylann Scheidt, Veronika Cieslik, Tara Robertson and Santana Ewers have all had an incredible year and certainly deserve the recognition.
Scheidt welcomed a move from Norris High School near Lincoln, Neb., to Farragut before her sophomore year, a move that would scare the heck out of many teenagers.
She has no second thoughts about graduating from Farragut this month so she can start classes at the University of Tennessee in January and begin her college volleyball career.
"I think it will help me in the long run because I'll be able to get in there and practice and learn their offense and start classes," said Scheidt, the News Sentinel's PrepXtra Player of the Year for the second consecutive year. "By the time the (2010) season rolls around I'll already be taking classes and be adjusted to it." more>>
