We have gone ahead and moved the clinic for Saturday to Court South Beach. We are still working on our courts and hope to have them ready for practices next week.

Court South Beach is 10 min from K2. The address is 2934 Alcoa Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920. The beach courts are actually behind the Court South Club.

Please NOTE!!!  They are doing this as a favor to us. The pool is currently closed and there is currently no water in the pool. So the girls will have to stay up by the courts.

Also the girls will have to use the restrooms up at the club as the pool restrooms are currently closed. This will give us the ability to have 3 courts for the clinics.

Please bring plenty of water and sunscreen.

The times will stay the same.

The ages will be as follows, (These clinics are for your current age group)

U15 and up – 9-11am
U14 – 11-1pm
U12  and U13 – 1 – 3pm

If you cannot make your allotted time then you can come to one of the other times. We hope to have both beach courts fully functional by the end of next week. If you are just attending the clinic you can sign up on the day. You do not need to reserve your spot. The cost is $40

Please remember to bring sunscreen and water bottles!!!!

With indoor season almost over and summer around the corner. I am excited to launch our K2 BEACH SEASON!!!! DOWNLOAD THE FLYER

Beach volleyball is not only great for your volleyball skills, but now it is a college NCAA sport. With K2 being one of only a few clubs around the nation offering beach, it gives our girls the edge to pursue a college career in beach volleyball. The K2 beach season will be run by Christine Hames. Chris played professional beach volleyball on the FIVB, representing Australia.

This season we have an all inclusive package. With the cost of the season including: Summer Beach Membership to Court South, 2-3 practices a week, agility on the sand, beach clinic’s, tournament fee’s and beach uniform package.  We have also split the summer in two and given everyone the option to play all summer as part of a 11 week season or to split it in two different sessions so you can play for only part of the summer, depending on your schedule. Cost breakdown is as follows:

Full Summer: May 12, 2012- August 5, 2012 – $650 REGISTER NOW FOR FULL SEASON

Session 1: May 12-June 29 (7 weeks)- $450  REGISTER NOW FOR SESSION 1

Session 2: July 6-Aug. 5 (4 weeks)- $350 REGISTER NOW FOR SESSION 2

Beach Volleyball is played in pairs. If you do not have a partner we will pair you with one or if you already have a partner set, please indicate on the form.

We are also going to offer Clinics and the tournaments to be open to everyone. So if you don’t want to do the all inclusive package you can still play in the tournaments and attend the clinics. The beach season is also open to anyone not just the K2 players. All practices will be at K2 Beach courts or at Court South Beach. Some of the Tournaments will be sanctioned under USAV & AAU.

Please see the attached flyer for the dates of the tournaments and registration form. We are requiring a $150 deposit due by April 30th if you are going to play in the season, enabling us to order the uniforms, so you will receive them in time. If deposit is paid after April 30th we cannot guarantee May 12th arrival of uniform.

It was an exciting weekend in Nashville, as most of the top teams in the Region competed and prepared for the Regional tournament.  The competition was the best as the top 12 year old teams from Nashville, Birmingham, Western Kentucky and others.  But they all fell to the 12 teams from K2 as the 12-1 and 12-2 K2 teams made it to the championship game.  It was a very tough match, but the 12-1 team came out on top.  But K2 can be proud of the effort both teams gave to come out and take the top two spots.  Way to go 12′s!!
